2009-2010: Shannon to UCLA - Greg @ 12:42 pm PST
Courtney Shannon has committed to compete for UCLA in 2009-2010, according to the athlete. Shannon is a L10 who also trains at Olympic Gymnastics in Laguna Hills. She placed 13th AA at the 2007 Region I L10 Regionals, Jr. D.

2009-2010: Alferos to Oregon State - Greg @ 12:38 pm PST
Leilani Alferos has committed to Oregon State, according to a site submission. Alferos is a L10 who trains at the Olympic Gymnastics in Laguna Hills, California. In 2008, she tied for 9th AA at the 2008 Region I L10 Regionals, Senior B. In 2007, she finished 12th AA at the Region I L10 Regionals, Senior A.

Nelligan to Retire, to be Replaced by... Nelligan - Greg @ 2:16 pm PST
Maryland Head Coach Bob Nelligan will retire at the end of this season, after 31 seasons with the Terrapins. He will be replaced by his son, Brett, who was named associate Head Coach until he assumes the mantle in May 2009. Bob Nelligan's daughter, Kelsey, is co-captain of the squad and will graduate in May 2009. Link: UMD Release

2009-2010: Krikorian to Maryland - Greg @ 8:27 am PST
Allison Krikorian has committed to Maryland, according to her family. Krikorian is a L10 who trains at Gym-Max in Costa Mesa, California. At the 2008 L10 Nationals, she placed 4th(t) on VT, 4th(t) on BB and 23rd AA in the Senior B group. She also captured the Regional VT title in 2007, while tying for 15th in the AA. 2009-2010: Wright to WMU - Greg @ 8:22 am PST
Sarah Wright has made a verbal commit to Western Michigan, according to her club web site. She's a L10 who trains at Rising Stars in Illinois. In 2008, she placed 22nd AA at the Region V L10 Regionals, in the Sr. C group. As a Level 9 in 2007, she finished 1st on BB and 7th AA in the Senior C group at the L9 Eastern Nationals. 2009-2010: Russell to Towson - Greg @ 8:11 am PST
Britney Russell has committed to Towson, according to a site submission. Russell is a L10 who trains at Berks East in PA. At the 2008 L10 Regionals, she placed 21st AA in the Senior A age group. She also finished 4th on FX at the 2007 Region VII L10 Regionals.

2009-2010: Ranzy to UCLA - Greg @ 12:37 am PST
Britney Ranzy has commited to UCLA, according to a site submission. Ranzy is a senior international elite and US Olympic Trials participant who trains at Excalibur. At the 2008 VISA (US) Championships, she placed 14th AA and 2nd on VT. She also tied for 7th AA at the 2007 US Classic and 13th AA at the 2006 VISA (US) Championships.

2009-2010: Neal to Michigan State - Greg @ 11:37 pm PST
Taira Neal has committed to Michigan State, according to her local paper. Neal is a L10 who trains at Gymnastics, Etc. A standout on vault, she won the 2007 L10 National title on VT in the Jr. D division. She suffered arm injuries prior to this year's National meet, and did not compete all four events at the 2007 Nationals. Link: Article

2009-2010: Platt to NC State - Greg @ 11:33 pm PST
Kyra Platt has committed to NC State, according to her club web site. Platt is a L10 and former junior international elite who trains at Coast Elite. At the 2008 L10 Nationals, she finished tied for 7th on VT and 31st AA in the Senior B division. In 2006, she finished 27th AA at the US Classic, in the junior international division. Aug. 31, 2008 update

2009-2010: Wienckowskis to WMU - Greg @ 7:47 am PST
Brynn and Lindsey Wienckowski have both committed to Western Michigan, according to their club web site. At the 2008 Region V L10 Regionals, Lindsey finished 12th AA and Brynn finished 15th AA. At the 2007 Level 9 Eastern Nationals, Brynn placed 1st on UB, 3rd on FX and 17th AA. She also won the UB title in 2006. Link: WMU Release

Aug. 26, 2008 update

2009-2010: Fobes to UNH - Greg @ 12:42 pm PST
Austyn Fobes has committed to UNH, according to her official website. The current L10 and former junior international elite and Junior National Team member trains at Galaxy in NJ. In 2008, she placed 9th AA at the 2008 Region VII L10 Regionals. She last competed at the elite level in 2006, where she had to withdraw from the US Classic due to injury.
