    Nov. 20, 2008 update

    Nichol to William and Mary (W) - Greg @ 1:31 pm PST
    Lindsey Nichol has signed with W&M, according to the Daily Press. Nichol, a L10 at World Class in Virginia, is a two time L10 Regional qualifier who has battled back from injuries. She was 18th AA at the 2008 Region VII L10 Regionals, Sr. B. Link: Newspaper Clip

    UNC Signs Three - Greg @ 1:26 pm PST
    North Carolina announced the signing of Elizabeth Durkac, Michelle Ikoma, and Meridith Madjuka. Ikoma and Madjuka were reported in prior news items.
    Durkac is a L10 who trains at World Class. At the 2008 L10 Nationals, she tied for 6th on BB and placed 14th AA in the Sr B group. As a Jr. D in 2007, she tied for 29th AA at the L10 Nationals.

    Southern Utah has announced the signing of Michaela Chernoch and Caitlin Kennedy. Both signings were highlighted as previous commits. Link: SUU Release

    Stanford (W) Sign Two - Greg @ 1:12 pm PST
    Nicole Dayton and Ashley Morgan have signed with Stanford, as expected. Link: Stanford Release

    Yamamura to Davis - Greg @ 12:52 pm PST
    Katie Yamamura, a L10 at Airborne, has signed with UC Davis. At the 2008 Region I L10 Regionals, she placed 14th AA. She was also 16th AA at Regionals in 2007.Link: UCD Release

    Illinis State Signs Three - Greg @ 10:09 pm PST
    Illinois State has signed Apollonia Barrientos, Kim Genereux and Marissa Stom, according to a school release.
    Barrientos is a L10 who trains at IGI. At the 2008 Region V L10 Regionals, she placed 17th AA in the Senior A division. In 2007. she was the alternate to Nationals after placing 8th in the AA at Regionals.
    Genereux is a Canadian High Performance athlete who trains at Gymnastics Adventure in Regina. At the 2008 Canadian Championships, she placed 18th AA in the preliminaries. She was also 1st AA at the 2007 Western Canadian Championships.
    Stom is a L10 who trains at McCracken's. A L9 or L10 Nationals Qualifer the past three years, she was 53rd AA in the Senior A group at the 2008 L10 Nationals. She was also 7th AA at the 2007 Level 9 Western Nationals.

    Men's: OU Signs Four - Greg @ 11:15 am PST
    As expected, Oklahoma has signed Jacob Dalton, Alexander Naddour and Chris Stehl. The Sooners also add Anthony Naddour, the brother of Alex and a transfer from Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Competing for the ASU club team, Anthony Naddour finished 2nd AA at the Collegiate Nationals. Link: OU Release

    Men's: Cal Signs Three - Greg @ 11:11 am PST
    Cal has signed Donathan Bailey, Jeffrey Langenstein and Steven Lacombe, according to a school release.
    Bailey was the AA runner-up in the junior division at the 2008 VISA (US) Championships and is a member of the junior national team. He trains at Azarian and was also 6th AA at the 2008 JO Nationals.
    Lagenstein trains at San Mateo. This past season he place 14th AA at the 2008 JO Nationals. He also placed 14th AA and 2nd(t) on Rings at the 2008 VISA Championships.
    Lacombe is another JO National qualifier from Azarian's with strengths on Rings and on Vault (double front). Link: Cal Release

    WVU Signs Three - Greg @ 10:03 pm PST
    West Virginia announced the signing of Chelsea Goldschrafe, Arlene Hathaway, and Alaska Richardson. The commits of all three were covered in prior news items. Link: WVU Release

    Pitt Signs Three - Greg @ 10:00 pm PST
    Pittsburgh has signed Alyssa Adrian, Meaghan Biros, and Laura Rigney. All three commits were covered in previous news items. Link: Pitt Release

    LSU Signs Three - Greg @ 9:57 pm PST
    LSU has signed Kaleigh Dickson, Janelle Garcia and Shelby Prunty. Dickson's commit was covered in a prior news item.
    Garcia is a L10 who trains at Orlando Metro. At the 2008 Region VIII L10 Regionals, she was the UB champion and 11th AA in the Sr. A group. She was also 15th AA and 8th(t) on FX at the 2006 L10 Nationals.
    Prunty is a L10 from IGI who placed 9th AA at the 2008 Region VI L10 Regionals. She also tied for 13th AA at the 2007 L10 Nationals.

    Missouri has signed Brittany Bendoff, Tori Howard and Lauren Swankoski. All three commits were covered in prior news items. Link: Missouri Release

    As anticipated, Cal has signed Nicolette Lew, Madisyn O'Brien, Stine Olivere, Marissa Pierce, Arla Rosenzweig, and Chelsea Spomer. Link: Cal Release

    Alabama Signs Three - Greg @ 9:37 pm PST
    As expected, Bama has signed Marissa Gutierrez, Ashley Sledge and Caitlin Sullivan. Sullivan has accelerated her graduation and will join the team in the spring. Link: Bama Release

    Oregon State Inks Three - Greg @ 7:43 pm PST
    Oregon State, as expected, has signed Leilani Alferos, Kelsi Blalock, and Makayla Stambaugh. Link: Oregon State Release

    Men's: Penev to Stanford - Greg @ 10:28 am PST
    Eddie Penev has committed to Stanford, according to the Democrat and Chronicle newspaper. Penev, who trains at Rochester, finished 8th AA at the 2008 JO Nationals.

    Minnesota (W) Signs Three - Greg @ 10:18 am PST
    Minnesota has signed Jasmine Brown, Janell Campbell and Shannon Golich. The commits of Brown and Golich were covered in prior news items.
    Campbell is a L10 who trains at LaFleur's in Wisconsin. At the 2008 L10 Nationals, she tied for 31st AA in the Senior B division. As a sophomore in 2007, she swept the Regional Meet.

    Jeffreys Signs with Rutgers - Greg @ 10:11 am PST
    Jayne Jeffreys has signed with Rutgers, according to an athlete submission. Jeffreys is a L10 from Rebound in New Jersey who placed 15th AA at the 2008 Region VII L10 Regionals. Link: Video on YouTube.com

    Kent State Signs Moore - Greg @ 10:08 am PST
    Sarah Moore has reportedly signed with Kent State, according to a site submission. Moore, a L10 from Zenith, NY, trains at Zenith. At the 2008 L10 Nationals, she placed 33rd AA in the Senior B division. She is a three-time L10 National qualifier.

    Arizona Signs Five - Greg @ 9:39 pm PST
    Arizona has signed Aubree Cristello, Mykle Douglas, Britnie Jones, Ellen Pitluck and Molly Quirk. All five signings were reported earlier. Jones will join the team in January after graduating early. Link: Arizona Release

    UCLA Signs de la Torre - Greg @ 3:16 pm PST

    Illinois signed Macy Hyatt, Jaclyn Kantecki and Alina Weinstein. The commits of Kantecki and Weinstein were covered in prior news items.

    Amberly Thompson has signed with Sacramento State, according to her club web site. She finished 25th AA at the 2007 Region I L10 Regionals. This past season, she competed three events at the State meet. Link: Club Web Site

    Utah Signs Mohr, Sims, and Whitney - Greg @ 9:46 am PST
    Utah, as expected, has announced the signing of Katelyn Mohr and Megan Whitney. Utah has also added Chloe Sims, a former Australian elite. Sims was a member of the 2007 Australia team at the World Championships and was the AA champion at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. She retired from elite competition earlier this year. There are unconfirmed reports that Sims may yet be available to start school in January. Link: Ute Release

    NLI Day: Richardson Signs with WVU - Greg @ 7:54 pm PST
    Alaska Richardson has signed with West Virginia, according to the Dayton Daily. At the 2008 Region V L10 Regionals, she placed 22nd AA in the Senior B division. In 2007, she tied for 10th AA and 2nd on VT at the Level 9 Eastern Nationals. Link: Daylton Daily
